Last four decades have witnessed an unparalleled burst of scientific study on infants and toddlers and I had been privileged to be a part of this revolution around the world and specifically now in India. Pallavi Kidz is a prodigy of Pallavi model schools in Hyderabad, Telangana, India. The visionary leader Mr. komaraiah, through the experiences gained through 20 years of successful Educational entrepreneurship ventured into franchising and adventing into “Pallavi Kidz” Preprimary learning to make it more meaningful and affordable.
Our Integrated and progressive curriculum focuses the physical, social, emotional, aesthetic and intellectual development. Gross and fine motor muscle growth and development, social etiquettes and manners, safety measures, values, emotional management, sensorial perceptions, appreciation of rhythmic movements through dance and music, transition of language L-1 (mother tongue) to L-2 (English) happens naturally. Stories, object and picture talks, enable conversational skills. Learning of Numeracy is transitioned through specially devised tool kit and brain gym. Different gate ways of learning enables individualized and customized learning. Our efforts are periodically assessed on a continuous comprehensive model and make the learning of the child visible.
Our teaching learning methodology is based on Piaget’s research based constructivist learning through sensory motor and preoperational schemas of developing the children and vygotsky’s Zone of proximal development”. Brain gym activities are used for reinforcing the theory of connectivism’ in scaffolding the learning.
Participation model of kolb’s learning cycle is used effectively by the teachers to provide concrete experiences, do reflective observation, till the child is able to conceptualize abstract things and every child has to actively experiment till the neurons start making connections and brain constructs own meaning of this new learning.
